Happy Birthday!

By the time we got all 24 candles lit and the birthday song sung, the candles were almost completely melted all over the cake.



Talon had his 24th birthday last week. My gift to him was a surprise boating trip with his close friend Josh and his family. I told him about boating the day before, but became pretty nervous that we wouldn't end up going when he started throwing up that night. Luckily, he felt much better after a good nights rest and was willing to drive with me to Bill's Island, where Josh and his family were spending the weekend boating. It was fun watching Talon slolum ski for the first time. His first start was off of a dock and he made it look easy, even after two years of not boating. The day on the boat was enjoyable. Even after a year and three months of marriage, Talon was still boasting his stuff trying to impress me.

When we arrived home, we had cake and ice cream with the family and Talon opened his birthday gift. A pair of shoes! Usually that wouldn't be the most exciting gift for a guy like Talon, but if you could see his old pair, you'd know why he was so excited for a new pair of shoes.
